Moc Book tells the story of a world permeated by art, enthusiasm, experience and research that can re-unite - in a daring, original way - the best of 20th-century European art, the creativeness of today, the taste for beautiful things and many of the foremost figures in the Italian artistic scene, including: Giulio Gipponi, Giorgio Restelli, Roberto Ricci, Dino Romano, Angelo Travaglino and Renato Capelli.
Moc is an art gallery that is quite out of the ordinary, an exhibition space, a meeting-place, where art can be absorbed from every direction. Its black walls are hung with works by some of the most illustrious masters of the 20th century: Vasarely, Mathieu, Vedova, Matta, Hartung and Ferroni. The list is impressive, and we really ought to cite the names of every single artist who has left his/her mark on this chamber of marvels called Mocarte Lodi.
Certainly, special mention should be made of the work that Giulio Gipponi, artistic director of the gallery, has undertaken from the outset to ensure that this place would be the only gallery able to exhibit works by holy monsters of contemporary art such as Bacon, Burri, Chighine, Moreni and Francese without ever a hint of discord. In fact, Franco Francese is the jewel in the crown of this highly original and modern art gallery.
