Rosso Fiorentino was one of the most original painters and draftsmen of the entire Renaissance period and a crucial figure among the so-called Mannerists. This book, published in the quincentenary of his birth, is an account of his life and works until about 1530, when he abandoned Italy for France and the court of Francis I and finally received the recognition he deserved.
